What you can do for Holy Tradition
My dear friends in Christ,
We Traditional Catholics get alot of flack for our defense of the Holy Faith as it has always been taught by Holy Mother Church. We are commonly speaking out in defense of THE Holy Mass of all ages, Traditional Sacraments, and the confusion and borderline Heresy that Vatican II espoused however; what can we do to actually change these things??? My answer is simple; in addition to holding fast to the True Faith I suggest that you actually sponsor someone into the Church......Go with them to the horrible RCIA classes and then invite them back to your home for an RCIA de-programming session if you will. Teach this Catechumen the whole unchanging truths of The Holy Faith and the Mass. By doing this we are rearing converts that:
1. Truly know their Faith
2. Can defend the unchanging Truth of the One Holy Church
My wife and I are sponsoring my best friend and his Fiancé into the Church this year and I ask for your prayers for them as they journey toward full communion in the One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church......
Below is a picture from today after Holy Mass: (On the left is my wife & on the right is Rosalie and her baby. We are sponsoring them this year)

The Family Altar
JMJ
Our homes are supposed to be the domestic church, and as such Catholics have traditionally reserved a central place in the home to place a family altar. The true head of the Catholic home is Jesus, the husband is (as I like to put it) only there on loan and the altar can serve to remind the whole household who is really in charge.
Just as we are to pray the Holy Mass with the Priest, at our homes we should at least be praying together these few prayers that everyone should know:
The Holy RosaryThe Nicene Creed Blessing before Meals Blessing after Meals Prayer to Guardian Angel Act of Contrition Hail, Holy Queen The Eternal Rest Prayer
The focus of so many modern homes is the television set; well my dear friends if the TV is your central focus have you not made the TV your god? Just something to think about.
The focal point of a Catholic home should be the family altar and it need not be an elaborate affair however you should use the altar as a place of prayer and devotion, not just art to be looked at. The above photo is the Family Altar at our home, very simple however it serves to remind me as husband who the real boss it.
On your altars you will want to place statues, holy cards, holy water, candles, incense, a crucifix, rosary, etc. anything to help you focus your attention to prayer and devotion. It's no reason why the family Rosary has declined in this day and age. Why would children want to say the Rosary when sponge bob is on? The family altar is a place where the entire family comes together and offers adoration, praise, and devotion.
If you don't have a family altar, I ask you to remedy that TODAY......
The Gospel played out
JMJ
My friends, last week (14th Sunday after Pentecost) we heard the Gospel proclaimed in which Our Lord said,
"No man can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will stand by the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon" (Mt.6:24).
Well this week has truly been an echo of that passage and I have had to remove myself from so-called friends. These are the same people who openly proclaim that they are "pagan" and feel the need to always to make sick jokes about Holy Mother Church. My wife and I have always tried to be the one good example of what Christians should act like however; sometimes you really do have to "Shake the dust from your heels."
While at Holy Mass last Sunday, Fr. Leon's sermon seemed to be fit just for my situation (isn't that always the way?) and I realized that one can only stand up and defend The Church for so long and when people don't want to hear it's time to move on...This is not the first time I've lost friends because of Our Holy Faith and it won't be the last I'm sure....
You can either serve God, or if you choose you can serve Mammon but you cannot serve both and if situations, friends, or circumstances happen to lead you from God to Mammon you must break with that, hold fast to Our Lady's mantle, and stay within the protection of the Ark of Salvation; The One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Faith.....
AMEN!!

Breviarium Romanum
I have been digging my heels into the daily recitation of Lauds and Vespers and I must say that if you think your Latin pronunciation is pretty good; just try saying the Office.... Whew... I thought that my Latin was good until now. I'm sure I'm butchering the "flow" but Our Lord is using this to teach me the Knightly virtue of patience and obedience....
Fra. Charles has ordered 6 new Diurnales for those of us just getting started however the problem is that they're published in Econe and it will be several months before he can get them out to us.. (Again, the Knightly virtue of patience) In the mean time I'm using the online Breviary at: http://www.breviary.net/ and the preces sheet from the Militiae Templi (those are prayers special of the Order.)
I'm also getting together with Rachel when I can to say Vespers together. In any event keep praying for me as I continue learning the Office.
I have a whole lifetime to recite it daily
Heretic's sweat rag!!!
My dear friends, whilst flipping through channels this morning I came across something that I just have to share with you. In the weird world of Charismatic Protestantism (which is always a source of humor) I have just seen Don Stewart's infomercial where he is pushing his, "Green prosperity prayer handkerchief." Yes, that's right! a "Green prosperity prayer handkerchief"
(see below)
He actually dares to use Holy Scripture as a justification for this empty piece of fabric:
“So that even there were brought from his body to the sick, handkerchiefs and aprons, and the diseases departed from them, and the wicked spirits went out of them." ACTS 19:12
Now of course, the context is completely missing. Let's look at the whole of this episode in ACTS and see what we find there: ACTS 11-16
11 And God wrought by the hand of Paul more than common miracles.
12 So that even there were brought from his body to the sick, handkerchiefs and aprons, and the diseases departed from them, and the wicked spirits went out of them.
13 Now some also of the Jewish exorcists who went about, attempted to invoke over them that had evil spirits, the name of the Lord Jesus, saying: I conjure you by Jesus, whom Paul preacheth.
14 And there were certain men, seven sons of Sceva, a Jew, a chief priest, that did this.
15 But the wicked spirit, answering, said to them: Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are you?
16 And the man in whom the wicked spirit was, leaping upon them, and mastering them both, prevailed against them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded.
Ok, so right there in Scripture, St. Paul was given the gift of healing by God so that even a handkerchief that touched him could heal and drive out evil spirits. Now notice that when the Jewish exorcists tried to remove the evil spirits invoking the name of Jesus and St. Paul the evil spirits were NOT driven out, rather the Jewish Exorcists were possessed.
Apparently either Mr. Stewart thinks that he is like St. Paul or, he identifies himself with the Jewish exorcist. In either case he is preaching blasphemy and taking advantage of poor misguided Protestants. This is just yet another example of what can happen when we just try and interpret the Holy Scripture ourselves, another example of the heretical teaching of Sola Scriptura.
Please pray for Mr. Stewart's soul and the souls of all of those who believe that they will obtain their requests by using a green piece of cloth "blessed" by Mr. Stewart.
ADDITIONAL UPDATE!!!
After doing some more digging, here is what I found. When you request this "Free" piece of cloth you receive a letter a few days later requesting a "seed" (i.e. money) of $50.oo
The letter goes on to say that: (the emphasis is not mine)
"Don't break the flowing of God's spirit from my secret place of prayer to your home! Do exactly as I say!"
1. Write your name & the amount of money you need on the hanky.
2. Touch your forehead with the hanky
.3. Place the green handkerchief on your billfold or checkbook, something that represents your finances.
4. TOMORROW MORNING mail the handkerchief with your name and money amount on it, to me!
DO NOT FAIL TO DO THIS! We will anoint it with oil and place a prophecy that god has given me for you on it. Then we will send this handkerchief back to you with special instructions on how to use it as a point of contact for your miracle."
WOW!! WHAT A WHACK-JOB!
The beheading of St. John The Baptist
Oremus:
Sancti Joánnis Baptistæ Præcursoris et Mártyris tui, quæsumus, Dómine, veneranda festívitas : salutáris auxílii nobis præstet effectum : Qui vivis et regnas.
A funny (but sadly true) definition I found....
"schism, schismatic":
To the liberal, these words have no meaning because, after all, Jews and Muslims and Protestants and practitioners of Voodoo all belong to the one true church, all have covenants with God, and all are saved.
To the conservative Catholic, "schismatic" is used to label those Catholics who worship in the same way that all Catholic worshipped and who believe the same way that all Catholics believed for 1,965 years. In order to be logically consistent, they'd have to accuse Pope St. Pius IX of "schism" with his "Syllabus." Pope Pius XI's "Quas Primas" and Pope Leo XIII's "Testem Benevolentiae Nostrae" would have to be considered expressions of "schism" because they deny the neo-Catholics' Americanist views. God forbid they should read Pope Gregory XVI's "Mirari Vos" and consider the ridiculousness of the Vatican II experiment. Why, anything short of idolizing the Pope is "schism," of course. Conservatives are often seen hurling Canon 751 of the 1983 Code of Canon Law at traditionalists, like Protestants using Ephesians 2:8-9 as a weapon against the Catholic's stress on the importance of works, entirely forgetting James 2:24. Canon 751 reads:
Heresy is the obstinate denial or doubt, after baptism, of a truth which must be believed by divine and catholic faith. Apostasy is the total repudiation of the Christian faith. Schism is the withdrawal of submission to the Supreme Pontiff or from communion with the members of the Church subject to him.
They won't tell you about Canon 1323, which reads:
No one is liable to a penalty who, when violating a law or precept:
1° has not completed the sixteenth year of age;
2° was, without fault, ignorant of violating the law or precept; inadvertence and error are equivalent to ignorance
3° acted under physical force, or under the impetus of a chance occurrence which the person could not foresee or if foreseen could not avoid;
4° acted under the compulsion of grave fear, even if only relative, or by reason of necessity or grave inconvenience, unless, however, the act is intrinsically evil or tends to be harmful to souls;
5° acted, within the limits of due moderation, in lawful self-defense or defense of another against an unjust aggressor;
6° lacked the use of reason, without prejudice to the provisions of canon. 1324, §1, n. 2 and 1325;
7° thought, through no personal fault, that some one of the circumstances existed which are mentioned in nn. 4 or 5.
Yes, in the real world, schism is the obstinate refusal to be subject to the Pope, a denial of his right to rule. It is not disobedience, which sometimes we must engage in, as did St. Athanasius (kicked out of his Bishopric, exiled, adamant against the sinful hierarchs, excommunicated by Pope Liberius, but later canonized) if what we are ordered to do by legitimate authority harms the faith (see Aquinas's Summa Theologica II-II-104).
Even the Catholic Encyclopedia (1917) has it figured out:
Schism, therefore, is usually mixed, in which case, considered from a moral standpoint, its perversity is chiefly due to the heresy which forms part of it. In its other aspect and as being purely schism it is contrary to charity and obedience; to the former, because it severs the ties of fraternal charity, to the latter, because the schismatic rebels against the Divinely constituted hierarchy. However, not every disobedience is a schism; in order to possess this character it must include besides the transgression of the commands of superiors, denial of their Divine right to command.
In case you haven't heard before, let me be the first to inform you: traditional Catholics do not deny the Divine right of Catholic hierarchs to command. We do believe, however, that they have no "Divine right" to command sin, to transgress eternal law, to attempt to change the deposit of the faith, to harm souls, to lead souls to Hell, to water down doctrine, etc. Given the state of our parishes, traditional priests and lay Catholics are justified in their actions. Per Canon 1323, we believe that it is a "grave inconvenience" to be forced to attend Protestantized Masses and hear priests water down our Faith with liberalism. We have a "grave fear" that compels us to carry on in the traditional way in order to preserve the Faith and save souls. We do this by "reason of necessity." Ergo, no schism. In addition to this fact, it is traditional Catholics who decry the new "collegiality" that weakens the papacy! But it's the neo-conservative Catholics who ignore the Nota Praevia to Lumen Gentium, the liberals who hate the very idea of the papacy, and the recent Popes themselves who behave as though they don't accept traditional Catholic doctrine as they go about kissing the rings of Anglican "Bishops" and such. We "deny the Pope's Divine right to rule?" Ha! We wish they would rule!

The pictures speak for themselves
The Holy Altar where the sacrafice of the Mass will take place is indeed a sacred object.
For those of you unfortunate Catholics who have never seen what the altar SHOULD look like, here is a picture of a very simple altar.
Simple though it is, the beauty and awe are striking. The above is what Vatican II and the Modernists have tried to take away from you and I. They have replaced the above with this:
Again I say, the pictures speak for themselves!!!!!

Thoughts about the so-called "Charasmatic Catholic Movement"
Regarding its origins:Charismatism takes its origins from Protestant Pentecostalism in the United States and it has spread throughout the Catholic Church by the "Baptism in the Spirit".
Regarding its "Baptism in the Spirit":This spiritual baptism is an innovation which the Charismatic renewal attempts to justify by claiming that with the sacraments the Catholic Church has not fulfilled all the abundance of the Gospels: "The over flowing and abundance of the New Testament should not be hastily assimilated to subsequent sacramental forms" (Fr Laurentin, Charismatic apologist, in his book Pentecôtisme chez les Catholiques, Beauchesne, 1975). Now, the Catholic Church alone is the custodian of the teachings of Our Lord Jesus Christ. It transmits infallibly the blessings of the Gospels in the only true Sacraments. "My God, I firmly believe all the Truths which You have revealed to us and which You have taught us through Your Church, because You can neither deceive nor be deceived." (Act of Faith)
Regarding the emphasis put on charisms: 1. The presence of charisms is not sufficient to prove their divine origin: "Not every one that saith to me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven: but he that doth the will of My Father who is in heaven, he shall enter into the kingdom of heaven. Many will say to Me in that day: Lord, Lord, have not we prophesied in Thy name, and cast out devils in Thy name, and done many miracles in Thy name? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from Me, you that work iniquity." (Matt. VII: 21-23) "There are people whom the devil does not prevent in any way from doing much good because the good which they do serves him to deceive them." (Fr. Lallemant, La Doctrine Spirituelle, Paris, 1882, p. 253)
2. The Catholic Church is built on the supernatural virtues of Faith, Hope and Charity and not on charisms which are only lower gifts which must be controlled by the Church. "But be zealous of the better gifts. And I show unto you yet a more excellent way." (I Cor. XII :31) "Certain people value above all amongst the spiritual gifts, that of performing miracles, which are to be seen, forgetting that there are many others higher, which are hidden and because of that not liable to fall." (St. John Climacus, Scala Paradisi, 26th degree, 78) "In comparison with Charity which is perfect, these gifts are of little consequence and those who are at that level can fall while those who have Charity do not fall. I tell you that I have seen men who have received all the charisms and who have become participants in the Spirit and who nonetheless fell because they did not achieve perfect Charity". (St. Macarius Magnus, IVth c., Spiritual Homilies, II, 27, 14)
Regarding its search of extraordinary signs and wonders: 1. Risk of illusion: "And I greatly fear what is happening in these times of ours: If any soul whatever after a bit of meditation has in its recollection one of these locutions, it will immediately baptize all as coming from God and with such a supposition say, 'God told me,' 'God answered me.' Yet this is not so, but, as we pointed out, these persons themselves are more often the origin of their locution." (St. John of the Cross: The Ascent of Mount Carmel. Book II Ch. 29) (1)
2. Possession by the devil: "Through the desire of accepting them one opens the door to the devil. The devil can then deceive one by other communications expertly feigned and disguised as genuine. In the words of the Apostle, he can transform himself into an 'angel of light' (II Cor. XI:14). (...) Regardless of the cause of these apprehensions, it is always good for a man to reject them with closed eyes. If he fails to do so, he will make room for those having a diabolical origin and empower the devil to impose his communications. Not only this, but the diabolical representations will multiply while those from God will gradually cease, so that eventually all will come from the devil and none at all from God. This has occurred with many incautious and uninstructed people." (St. John of the Cross: The Ascent of Mount Carmel. Book II Ch. 11) (1)
Regarding its suspicion of the Church's Hierarchy: The Hierarchy of the Catholic Church is seen as a stifling human institution: "In so far as the ecclesiastical institution is constructed in the form of a hierarchical and closed juridical structure, in so far as it is organised, not according to the spirit of charism but by coopting clergy monopolising the resources, the knowledge, the power and the initiative in the Church, the Charismatic thrusts have been stifled." (Fr Laurentin, Ibid.) Now this hierarchy derives from God Himself: "He said therefore to them again: 'Peace be with you. As the Father hath sent Me, I also send you.' " (John XX 21) "And I say to thee: Thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build My Church. And the gates of hell shall not prevail against it." (Matth. XVI 18)
Regarding its ecumenism: "Originating from Protestant families, I was baptised a Protestant. Today, I know that God wants me to be a Protestant. I have gradually felt that I must not separate myself from my Protestant Church but to bring myself closer to it." (Testament of a young girl in the Bethany Community, in Revue Tychique, No. 52, p.10) "There will not be a real Judeo - Christian dialogue until the return of the Lord, except when Christians are truly Christian and the Jews truly Jewish." (Brother Ephraim, Founder of the Community of the Beatitudes, in Cahiers du Renouveau, No. 64, p.13)
Now, the Catholic Church teaches infallibly: 'Outside the Church there is no salvation'."The Catholic Church alone keeps the true worship. It is the Church of Truth, the home of the Faith, the temple of God; he who does not enter it or he who leaves it, loses all hope of life and salvation. Do not let anyone hold a dogged view. It is a question of life and of salvation. If one does not watch out carefully and prudently, it is ruination and death." (Lactantius; IIIrd c., Catholic apologist.)
Conclusion: Charismatic Renewal is therefore not Catholic.
Papal wisdom for today
While preparing for an article about Holy Mother Church I came across some very much needed words of wisdom from our Holy Father of fond memory, PIUS IX in his encyclical:
"QUANTO CONFICIAMUR MOERORE"
7. Here, too, our beloved sons and venerable brothers, it is again necessary to mention and censure a very grave error entrapping some Catholics who believe that it is possible to arrive at eternal salvation although living in error and alienated from the true faith and Catholic unity. Such belief is certainly opposed to Catholic teaching. There are, of course, those who are struggling with invincible ignorance about our most holy religion. Sincerely observing the natural law and its precepts inscribed by God on all hearts and ready to obey God, they live honest lives and are able to attain eternal life by the efficacious virtue of divine light and grace.
8. Also well known is the Catholic teaching that no one can be saved outside the Catholic Church. Eternal salvation cannot be obtained by those who oppose the authority and statements of the same Church and are stubbornly separated from the unity of the Church and also from the successor of Peter, the Roman Pontiff, to whom "the custody of the vineyard has been committed by the Savior.
The words of Christ are clear enough: "If he refuses to listen even to the Church, let him be to you a Gentile and a tax collector;"
"He who hears you hears me, and he who rejects you, rejects me, and he who rejects me, rejects him who sent me;"
"He who does not believe will be condemned;"
"He who does not believe is already condemned;"
"He who is not with me is against me, and he who does not gather with me scatters."
The Apostle Paul says that such persons are "perverted and self-condemned;"
the Prince of the Apostles calls them "false teachers . . . who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Master. . . bringing upon themselves swift destruction."
The following comment from The Holy Father is very much needed today:
You are certainly aware, our beloved sons and venerable brothers, that every kind of impious and deceitful writing, lies, calumny, and blasphemy has been let loose from hell. No pain has been spared to transfer schools to non-Catholic teachers and to appropriate churches for non-Catholic worship. With a multiple of other, surely diabolical treacheries, arts, and undertakings, the enemies of God employ every effort to destroy completely-if that were possible -- the Catholic Church, seduce and corrupt the people, especially guileless youth, and uproot our holy faith and religion from the souls of all.

Abortion in pill form
Well, this country has taken one more step toward damnation:
"WASHINGTON (AP) - Women may buy the morning-after pill without a prescription - but only with proof they're 18 or older, federal health officials ruled Thursday, capping a contentious three-year effort to ease access to the emergency contraceptive.
Girls 17 and younger still will need a doctor's note to buy the pills, called Plan B, the Food and Drug Administration told manufacturer Barr Pharmaceuticals Inc."
So, let's get this straight. You have to have a prescription to obtain medication for severe bad breath however; you can just walk right up to the chemist and say,
"Hi I'd like to make sure that I murder any child that may come about by my disgusting and immoral sexual behaviour. May I please have a box of Plan B?"
And really, can we get any more obvious than with a name like that?
Plan A: God's law
Plan B: I am my own God and therefore I make my own Law, i.e. MURDER!!!
Advice for the Journey
From Her first "fiat" Our Lady became the staunch Protectress of the Holy Faith. Our Queen is today with us during the crisis within the Church, and we MUST have daily recourse to her.
We, her children should place into her Immaculate hands all our concerns, distress, petitions, and all our trust. She will see us through this dark time
We must not become discouraged rather; show all you come into contact with the joy, peace, love, and beauty of our traditional Holy Faith, the TRUE "Faith of our Fathers." Pray daily for the Holy Father, he needs our prayers
Mortify your flesh for poor sinners, Jews, heretics, and schismatics that they may come to Holy Mother Church and the one and only true faith. Offer yourself to the defense of Traditional Catholic doctrine and guard yourself against the ever changing winds of new Modernist doctrine.
Ever hold in your hearts the knightly virtues of: Honor, Chivalry, Obedience, and discipline. Practice Holy Slavery to Our Lady and trust that she will not lead you into error....

Great article from Catholic Family News
"Traditional Mass Never Forbidden
by John Vennari"
Throughout the unprecedented crisis of Faith caused by post-Vatican II progressivist novelties, countless Catholics worldwide have rightly clung to the Traditional Latin Liturgy. They have always based the right to adhere to the Old Mass not only on the liturgy's sacred status of immemorial custom, but also on the Papal Bull Quo Primum of St. Pius V which solemnly proclaimed that the Latin Tridentine Mass could never be forbidden, and that all priests and faithful will always have the right to avail themselves of this liturgy.
In October of 1997, Msgr. Perl from the Ecclesia Dei Commission challenged this truth. In a letter to a Catholic in America, Perl wrote that "the legal basis for the celebration of the traditional Latin Mass today does not derive from the Bull Quo Primum, but from the documents Quattuor abhinc annos (1984) and Ecclesia Dei (1988) which were issued under the initiative of Pope John Paul II..."
In truth, Pope Paul VI never officially and unambiguously revoked Quo Primum.[1] Also, as will be demonstrated, the Tridentine Mass has never been suppressed.
In light of all this, it seems opportune to reprint the following article from the August, 1995 issue of Catholic Family News.
In the spring of 1989, a report appeared in the June/July issue of The Fatima Crusader stating that a Papal Commission of nine Cardinals determined that the Traditional Mass has never been suppressed.
The report declared that in 1986, the Holy Father appointed a commission of nine Cardinals to examine the legal status of the traditional rite of Mass, commonly known as the "Tridentine Mass". The commission of Cardinals included Cardinals Ratzinger, Mayer, Oddi, Stickler, Casaroli, Gantin, Innocenti, Palaz-zini, and Tomko was instructed to examine two questions:
1) Did Pope Paul VI authorize the bishops to forbid the celebration of the traditional Mass?
2) Does the priest have the right to celebrate the traditional Mass in public and in private without restriction, even against the will of his bishop?
The Commission, the account stated, unanimously determined that Pope Paul VI never gave the bishops the authority to forbid priests from celebrating the traditional rite of Mass.
Regarding the second question: The Commission stated that priests cannot be obligated to celebrate the new rite of Mass; the bishops cannot forbid or place restrictions on the celebration of the traditional rite of Mass whether in public or in private.
The Commission also recommended that the Pope issue a Papal decree based on the Commission's findings and it was the Pope's intention to issue this decree in November of 1988, but the decree was never issued, due to pressure placed on the Pope from opposing Cardinals.
Report Contested
Not long after this, another reputable Catholic journal published a letter from Monsignor Perl from the Ecclesia Dei Commission in Rome. The letter was worded in such a way that it cast doubt on the legitimacy of the report regarding the Nine Cardinal commission. In response, the Winter 1989, issue of The Fatima Crusader published a competent rebuttle to Msgr. Perl's letter. Despite this, for some, a lingering uncertainty remained.
Cardinal Stickler Clarifies the Controversy
On May 20, 1995 at the Christi Fidelis conference in Fort Lee, New Jersey, Alfons Cardinal Stickler gave an address entitled "The Theological Attractiveness of the Tridentine Mass".[2] During the question and answer session after his speech, His Eminence was asked about the Nine Cardinal Commission of 1986 regarding the Tridentine Mass.
It is worth noting that the questions and answers were written down. The Cardinal was free to choose the questions he wanted to answer and he chose to reply to this one.
His Eminence began his remarks by recounting an incident where Eric de Saventhem (former head of Una Voce in Europe) asked explicitly if the Tridentine Mass had ever been forbidden. Cardinal Benelli never answered ... not yes, not no. Cardinal Stickler explained that Benelli "... couldn't say 'yes he (the Pope) forbade it'. He can't forbid a Mass that has been used not only for centuries, but has been the Mass of thousands and thousands of Saints and Faithful." The Cardinal continued, "the difficulty was that he (the Pope) could not forbid it, but at the same time, he wanted that the new Mass be said ... be accepted. And so, he could only say 'I want that the new Mass be said'."
"I was one of the Cardinals"
Cardinal Stickler then addressed the issue of the Commission. He related, "Pope John Paul II asked a commission of nine Cardinals in 1986 two questions:
First, "Did Pope Paul VI or any other competent authority legally forbid the widespread celebration of the Tridentine Mass in the present day?"
The Cardinal explained, "I can answer because I was one of the Cardinals."
He continued, "the answers given by the nine Cardinals in 1986 was 'No, the Mass of Saint Pius V (Tridentine Mass) has never been suppressed'."
The Cardinal also confirmed the incident regarding the Papal decree.
He related that of this commission of nine Cardinals, eight Cardinals were in favor, and one was against, a general permission to be drawn up making it clear that everyone could choose the old Mass as well as the new.
The Cardinal explained that the Pope seemed willing to promulgate this sort of announcement, but a few National Episcopal conferences who found out about the "danger" of this permission, came to the Pope and said "this should not be absolutely allowed because it would be the occasion or the cause of controversy in the people of God -- in the faithful themselves ... one against the other, and so on." Cardinal Stickler explained that in the face of this argument, the Pope abstained from signing this decree.
In answer to the second question, "Can any bishop forbid any priest in good standing from celebrating the Tridentine Mass?", Cardinal Stickler replied, "the nine Cardinals unanimously agreed that no bishop may forbid a Catholic priest from saying the Tridentine Mass."
After stating this, it would seem that His Eminence wished to make a few qualifying remarks about the authority and jurisdiction of bishops[3] in the diocese, perhaps so as not to be accused of inciting widespread disregard of diocesan ordinaries. However, the fact remains that Cardinal Stickler confirmed that the nine Cardinals concluded that the Latin Tridentine Mass had never been officially forbidden, and that no priest can be forbidden by his bishop to celebrate the Traditional Rite of Mass.

Review of Heretic's book
Here is my brief review of the Heretic and self proclaimed "Prophetess" Juanita Bynum's book:
"The Threshing Floor: How to Know Without a Doubt that God Hears Your Every Prayer"
With the likes of Benny Hinn, Joel Osteen, and Rod Parsley dominating the crazy and bizzare Charismatic Protestant Movement today, self-proclaimed, "Prophetess" Bynum comes at the forefront of a newer and more sinister movement. Namely the mixing of New-Age symbolism, Personal interpretation and twisting of Sacred Scripture into making it say what you want it to say and then proclaiming that "The Bible PLAINLY says so and so.."
Pure and simple fantasy.......... I forced myself to read this book, as well as tuned into the insane TBN station to listen with my own ears as this woman spouted heresy after heresy
I would honestly warn any Christian; Catholic or Protestant to steer clear of this book, and people like Ms. Bynum....These new so-called "prophets" will lead you away from Christ and into the arms of the Enemy who is laughing the whole time that you were so gullible to believe his lies........ If you want the True Faith, the Holy Faith, look only to the True Church. The Holy Catholic Church
But, don't take MY word for it...........Listen to what Our Lord said about False Prophets.....
"Beware of false prophets, who come to you in the clothing of sheep, but inwardly they are ravening wolves." Matt 7:15
Review of Heretic's book
Here is my brief review of the Heretic and self proclaimed "Prophetess" Juanita Bynum's book:
The Threshing Floor: How to Know Without a Doubt that God Hears Your Every Prayer
Spoke with Fra. Charles
Today I received a phone call from Frater Charles and we had a very nice conversation about the Militiae Templi. He will be sending me the information package and I will then spend 30 days in prayer and discernment... I am so grateful to Our Lady for this order as it is truly an answer to prayer. I have long known that my service to Holy Mother Church as an apologist is not enough, that I was called to some form of religious life even though I am married.......

Father "Fruitloop" & OL Star of The Sea (St. Mary's Ga)
My wife and I have moved to St. Mary's Ga recently and now make the sacrifice of waking up early and driving 45 min back to Jacksonville to assist at The Holy Mass (of all time.)
Out of respect I introduced myself to the local (and only) Priest/Parish in St. Mary's and all I can say is.............WOW!!!! Typical example of the Modernist invasion within Holy Mother Church, and a poster of the destruction to the faith that Vatican II brought.
My wife and I were horrified as we heard Fr. Gabriel Cummings teach directly from the altar Gnosticism!!!! Heresy!!! I could not believe that a "Catholic" Priest would have the audacity to proclaim we humans as having, "Divine eyes, divine hands." and furthermore that we need only look for the "Christ within us." his Sermon continued with an attack on Holy Tradition as he said, " We need not get caught up in the external traditions of our faith."
Much much more was said that even now makes me sick to my stomach, suffice it to say that The Bishop of the Savannah Diocese will be getting a letter from me this week.
How Novus Ordo/New Church "Catholics" can honestly accept this crap hook line and sinker is a mystery to me. The Sensus Fidei should be all up in arms....

SSPX and the Vatican....Another rumor
The following is snagged from a fellow blogger, my comments will follow:
"An Italian newspaper is once again reporting that reconciliation with the breakaway Society of St. Pius X is imminent. Il Giornale, in an article translated by the Rorate Caeli blog, said that will the re-election of Bishop Bernard Fellay to another 12-year term as head of the SSPX, he may be more amenable to an agreement.
It is possible that, in the past period, with the knowledge that his term was nearing its end, Fellay would have hesitated. Now, however, precise signals are expected in the Vatican. The terms of agreement include the acceptance of the theological agreement already agreed in 1988 by Archbishop Lefebvre and the then Cardinal Ratzinger, the lift of the excommunications decreed by the Holy See after the illegitimate ordination of four bishops by the same Lefebvre, and a canonical structure, similar to that of the military ordinariat, which allows the Fraternity Saint Pius X to preserve its seminaries and to incardinate [its own] priests.
Simultaneously to the agreement, the Holy See will announce a kind of liberalization of the pre-Conciliar Missal of Saint Pius V—a measure very much expected also by Traditionalists in communion with Rome.
Of course, back in the Spring, we had sources telling us that it was rock-solid certain that an agreement was coming, even within days, some even claiming it would take place during Holy Week. We saw how that turned out.
It would be nice if an agreement were reached, but I wonder how much of this is premature speculation; how much is journalists’ wishful-thinking."
Ok, now time for my comments:
This subject is very near and dear to my heart because I honestly do love the SSPX and would love for this issue to be over and done with. Archbishop Lefebvre was indeed dis-obiedient by ordaining bishops without the Holy See's ok however; had that not happened we Traditional Catholics would still be regarded as "behind the times old fogies." The old addage that God works in mysterious ways comes to my mind. Now, I am by no means saying that God wanted an act of defiance rather that, He has used this issue to bring to the forefront the needs of Traditional Catholics who want the True Faith, and nothing but the True Faith as has been passed down for 2000 years.
We all should pray for the Holy See and in a special way Bishop Fellay and the SSPX to end this division once and for all........
Exorcising the "Spirit of Vatican II"
JMJ
How many times have we heard that wretched phrase, "The spirit of Vatican II." This so-called spirit seemed to have run rampant during the last 40 or so years however; the tide is changing and sincere Catholics everywhere are recognizing this spirit for what it is. so I say, join me in asking for the intercession of Pope St. Pius X and our Blessed Mother in restoring all things within Holy Mother Church to Christ and speak the words:
Excorcizo te, spiritus VATICANI II , Omis virtus adversarii, omnis exceritus diaboli, omnis incúrus, omne phatasma Satanæ eradicare!"
Welcome!
Today marks the begining of this blog. I've been asked by several people to get this up and running so, here it is.
I would like to dedicate this, and all my work to Mary Most Holy.......
